Church Security and Safety

In 2010, Inter-University Consortium on Political and Social Research (ICPSR) (Ann Arbor, Michigan) published research showing that between 1980 and 2005, there were 137 cases of church shooting in the United States alone and the number of shootings and homicides in or on church property continues to grow.  Over the course of the past 17 years, there have been a recorded 1457 number of deaths in the United States at places of worship alone.

Twenty years ago the discussion of church safety or security was non-existent.  Unfortunately in today's society, churches are a targeted for acts of violence and crime.  These incidents included shooting, domestic violence, burglary, robbery, assaults, vandalism,  and so on.

K & M Safety Consultants, LLC, a faith based company, was founded on the growing need for competent and qualified church safety training.  Favored by church insurance underwriters and providers, we have trained numerous safety and security teams throughout Ohio.

We train Administrators, Staff members, Safety/Security Teams, Congregation members and others on methods to protect the property, building and more importantly themselves.

Specialized training covers, safety/security team training, verbal de-escalation training (endorsed by Mennonite Mutual Insurance), critical incidents, pastoral protection, asset protection, CCW training, advanced CCW training, unarmed self-defense, active shooting training,  preventing accidents, injury and neglect,  radio communications, video monitoring systems,  preventing loss from crime, and financial security of offerings and other funds which could lead to false claims and lawsuits.
